You Never Let Go
For those of you who weren't at River Stone tonight, I wanted to share with you another sweet story about my son. This week, Jason took Jacob to the store with him for a while to give me some well deserved alone time. On their way back home Jacob started singing one of the songs we sing at River Stone. He knew the whole song. I really don't know how, except hearing us rehearse on Sunday afternoons---crazy kid!!! The words of this song have been such a blessing to us over the course of the last few weeks. Satan has been attacking us more lately than ever before, but I consider it pure joy because I know that we have something worthy of attacking. But, the struggle is still hard. God chose to use once again, our beautiful boy, to bless us--so I hope the words of this song bless you as well (just imagine a precious 3 year old boy singing it).
You Never Let Go (Matt Redman)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won't turn back, I know you are near
And I will fear no evil, for my God is with me
And if my God is with me,
Whom then shall I fear, whom then shall I fear?
O no, You never let go, through the calm and through the storm
O no, You never let go in every high and every low
O no, You never let go,
Lord, You never let go of me
And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles, but until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth
Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on,
And there will be an end to these troubles, but until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

I love how God chooses to use our children to teach us of His love. It is so pure...so right...so God.
Amen!!
That is so beautiful. It's so true that attack is heavier than ever on all of us, yet joy is greater than ever. And God gives us these little reassurances...lately there have been many through children around us. It's so beautiful...and yes, pure.
Thank you Jesus.
